Hi all,
I'm new to HA (I haven't even bought a device or set it up yet.) I'm currently gut-renovating my apartment and want to set up smart tunable recessed LED downlights, with smart switches, set up in HA.
I've read that smart switches with smart lights is bad practice, but it seems that Inovelli White in smart bulb mode is an elegant solution to this. That being said I'd like to make sure that before i buy everything and have my contractor install it all, that my plan is sound.
I'm leaning towards the following:
Nanoleaf essentials Matter recessed downlights
Home Assistant Green
Inovelli White Smart Dimmer
I'd also like to take advantage of Matter over thread instead of wifi, so assume I'll need some additional hardware to plug into the raspberry pi from HA Green?
Are there any gotchas or anything else I need to consider here?
additional context: Located in USA , budget not a real concern as its part of a 200k+ home reno project
