Hey, wanted to install proxmox with HA onto 3080 micro, but:

  • Got the pc (used)
  • Turned it on first time to see what was there before
  • Didnt know how to turn it off, so unplug the AC
  • Plugged AC into it and the LED started blinking to indicate the cmos battery should be changed.
  • Changed one
  • Started blinking (dell support says something about Intel ME and timeout when waiting for response from ME)
  • After replug AC it cannot be turned on.

Does somebody have any experience with that? Dunno what could happened.

Not a lot we can guess as this is very much not homeassistant related. But did you make sure it shipped with a CPU, memory and a drive with an operating system installed?

We can only put more guesses ^^
The not turning on part, does it just do nothing at all or does it start to do something?

#

If it's just dead dead, you could try reseating the memory. If it stays dead dead I personally would rma it

#

Alternatively you could try unplugging the power button and manually shorting the pins, to check that it's not just a faulty or stuck button

the led in the button works, but after click it just does nothing... when it was alerting (blinking) it started fans really loudly 3 times but then nothing... so ๐Ÿ˜„

Yea id try reseating everything that could have come loose during shipping and if that doesn't fix it hand it over to your place of purchase to figure it out
