AndroidTV notifications not appearing

Hi everyone,
I am aware that AndroidTV is not officially supported and the use cases right now are very limited. But I was wondering why I am not seeing notifications I send to my AndroidTV?

I installed the companion app and it is working. I can see the entities, I can interact with the server. So it seem to be functional. Yet notifications are simply not being displayed.
Is there something missing in the companion app that is required for AndroidTV notifications to work?

android tv uses different notifications, youll need to use an integration like PIpup or nfandroidtv who handle the special pop-ups

companoin app notifications will not work without a lot of code changes and at the moment the app is not supported on the TV interface
