Govee H5121 event vs sensor for motion

I have a Govee H5121 pir sensor that added right into HA via Govee Bluetooth add-on. I am trying to use this for lights automation. The issue is that the motion is being categorized as Event instead of a sensor/entity. I have tried a bunch of things today to try and create a helper, make it show as "motion", etc. I am a regular user of HA but this type of integration is throwing me. What do I need to provide for more info? Also new to this Discord so hopefully I am not missing providing something on my intial post. Any help will be much appreciated.
