Hey, I use a lot of Sonos speakers with Alexa activated on it. I would really like to remove Alexa from my home. It would be great if Nabu Casa would approach Sonos and find a solution to make the speakers work with HA Assist!

I am fairly certain that Sonos put Alexa functionality in their speakers for money, not out of the goodness of their heart. While i do agree that it would be lovely to have Wyoming satellites out of Sonos speakers, I doubt Nabu Casa can pull it off. Sonos open-sourcing their hardware (at least the control part, not the audio voodoo), that would be something

Do you mean you want to use the microphones in the Sonos speakers? It's easy enough to get them to speak the output with TTS etc., but you have to do all the intent stuff yourself - it's quite a step down from Alexa functionality. I doubt if the microphones are ever going to be accessible. The Sonos integration docs say the microphone can only be controlled through the physical buttons on the speaker.
