#Ideas on how to control the 3v leds in my extractor hood?

So I have an extractor hood with a couple of led lamps in it. I want to control the lamps from home assistant. I looked at some of the connections inside and there's a basic power+ground cable and connector going from somewhere to the lights. Easy to hook into that.

However..... apparently the leds are 3V... 🙃 Initially I thought I just could hook some random Zigbee switch/relay in there, but with 3V that seems to be a bit of an issue.

Does anyone have any idea on what I could do here? Maybe something battery powered? I tried googling, but I can't really find anything for 3V.

You could use a relay to switch on/off the 3V power to the LEDs.

If by 'control' you mean vary the intensity (dim/bright) and/or color, then you need something more sophisticated. But if on/off is all you want, then a relay would work.

@lilac basalt Yeah, I only need to turn it on/off. I get that a relay would work like the one @green current linked, but all the ones I could find needed either 12V or 100/200V input to be powered. Which I don't have, I only have a 3V line. So I need something that's either 3V powered (seems unlikely) or something battery powered (with a reasonable battery life). I couldn't find either 😕
