Has anyone noticed how weak the RF signal strength is? I'm controlling a fireplace and literally had to get within 4ft of it and have the broadlink pointed directly add it. I get RF is more line of sight vs IR but I read somewhere some time ago when I was researching it that there is a way of boosting the signal? Almost doesn't make since because it's a certain mhz. Does anyone have any knowledge of doing that.

RF isn’t line of sight. You may have a faulty RM4 Pro.

Sounds like it. Mine covered the whole house, no trouble.

I have tried it with verious things. It works a ceiling fan fine from the LR. i've tried it to control a fog machine and the only way it works is it being right up on it. makes no sense unless it's the reciever being very weak? Is it common to get bad ones. i thought maybe it was the power bank i had it on but it's rated 1amp and so is the broadlink

I've stuck with the RM3's because I've heard more than one story about the RM4 being sometimes problematic and I've never had a hiccup with my 3's.

I don't even see an rm3 that does RF
