Is there a way to invoke HTTPS rather than HTTP? On one of my panels I have to use silk browser. Local access it will only connect via https so I am forced to use the remote access url, which is substantiallly slower than local control.

The certificate is not valid for local ip addresses. You would need a self signed cert or set up split DNS or a reverse proxy, but that seems like a lot of hoops just to use a specific browser on one device. Is Fully Kiosk Browser or Firefox not an option?
I don't make use of panels myself, but I believe Fully Kiosk is the go to solution for most HA users
