Located in USA. I want to look into using this to read my water meter, but wanted to consult with someone who might already be doing this, and could give some advice / pointers / etc. Specifically on what you personally bought, etc, to avoid any purchase mistakes or headaches. I know there is a guide, I did look at it already.

If possible depending on your meter you may not want to use this

why is that?

Depending on your region/meter you might have the option for magnetic pulse or digital readouts available already.

gotcha. i dont have a magnetic pulse meter, and my supplier does not have a way for me to get the data.

I see, that is unfortunate
