#Matter over Thread devices frequently/randomly go unavailable

I have eight Matter over Thread blinds motors (Eve cm-08-e) which I successfully added to HA using the HA companion app on an Android phone.

My issue is that some of the blinds motors seemingly randomly become unavailable in HA. This morning, 1 of them was unavailable, now it's 3 of them. Tomorrow morning, they might all be back online again.

Intriguingly, through the Matter screen in Devices and Services in HA, I am able to ping the blinds motors that are unavailable, so this doesn't seem like a networking issue. Rebooting HA doesn't seem to make a difference - an unavailable device will still be unavailable after reboot.

How would I start finding the root cause? Not sure what log files to look into and what I'd be looking for. Any pointers appreciated!

Can you give us some details on what Border router(s) you are using and how close the devices are to the Border Router(s) ?

@echo tusk as Marcel mentions, your exact setup of border routers would be interesting. If you have multiple, then try only using one.

@rich grotto @verbal drum Thanks, sorry I didn't respond before. My Thread border routers are all Google (5x Nest Wifi Pro and 1x Nest Hub 2nd gen). The Motionblinds devices that go missing once in a while should all be connected to the main Nest Wifi Pro, assumed based on distance

Awesome, thanks for pointing out! Let's continue over there for now so things are a bit trackt. I really like to investigate your case a bit more. Most other cases invovled Apple BR, yours is the first which is Google BR based.

@echo tusk i believe I send you a message on tweakers. Did you happen to see that?

I believe I have a similar issue. And it is fixed once I restart my Google nest hub v2 .

@echo tusk do you have any other (thread) routers in your netwerk?
