I just found out about this project and would love to start using it by installing on my Linux home server, however upon reading the first few lines on the Linux installation page, I found out it's not just a package I'd install through apt, but an entire OS I have to run through a VM.
Why was this decision made? What prevents this project from being a simple apt package?
These questions mostly come from a place of uncertainty and inexperience with VMs.
