Hi all, hopefully this isn’t something glaringly obvious - for the past several nights all of my Hue lights have been turning on and then turning back off 6 seconds later.
By looking at the logbook, I can see the state of one of the lights is triggering two different groups to toggle but I can’t, for the life of me, figure out what’s causing the state of that light to change. Can anyone provide any pointers on where I should look to figure out what’s going on?
I read that it may be due to the Hue base trying to update but I’ve set that to run during the day. Thank you!

Seems like you have an integration or automation that's causing the total room to react to a single light in the room
Other areas to look at: Google home, Emulated Hue (from Alexa hunches)
Adaptive lighting
That looks like a light group entry from the Logbook
You want to look at the individual lights to see what turned them on
If nothing then it's outside of HA
So that's what shows up if you record grouped lights in recorder?
from memory, yes
That's probably the most useless info ever
That means it was turned on/off by the switch itself
So some other app is causing that light to go on
Do you have that light paired with alexa outside HA?
Yup
Turn off alexa hunches
But I’ve had it on for a few years without issues
But I did just add some other Hue lights
Ahhh those hunches are annoying. Good call
Yeah doesn't matter, alexa hunches is an AI that attempts to figure out your light schedule and it fucks up
check the alexa app, I bet you'll see it say something in it's logs about turning on/off lights
Lol it makes sense - we’ve had a weird sleep schedule in our house the last few weeks and I have a nightlight kinda automation that will fire
Wow!!
yep
