#ZBT-1 Pulled by Nabu Casa Request

The SMLIGHT’s SLZB-07 (without the p7 or p10 suffix) adapter they offer is fine as well. It uses the same chip.
It looks like it's temporary fwiw.
I just went to order and noticed the same thing. Kind of concerning that Nabu Casa seemingly hasn't commented
Is it? They’ve said they’re committed to the stick + developing sticks for other protocols as well. I wouldn’t be worried.
and also, exactly what Rob said when you spoke to him #the-water-cooler message
I spoke with him after I posted this, for what it's worth
yeah I saw that and that’s fair
I was calling attention to the fact that what I said is the general consensus, I could have worded the part about Rob to be less accusatory.
All good!
I bought one of these a month or so ago and I can't connect it to HA. I keep getting The radio firmware on your Home Assistant SkyConnect could not be detected
I tried using cp210x-cfg to update it, but it is still not being detected. Maybe there's something seriously wrong with the last year's batches of these?
If you aren't using the Multiprotocol or OpenThread Border Router add-ons, please contact the support at hello@home-assistant.io
I just installed HA today from scratch and am not using either of those. Ok, I'll reach out via email
Can you open a separate thread? Ping me in it.
Edit: resolved, just a permissions issue with a virtualenv install 😄
This should shed some light. Let me know if you have any questions: https://www.home-assistant.io/blog/2024/10/02/connect-zbt1-issue-and-replacement/

Thanks @jovial plank I saw they addressed this on the 2024.10 release party. I appreciate the way they are choosing to address the issues.
Awesome response! Thanks for going above and beyond what a lot of companies would do here. I'm really interested to hear what you end up finding with the supply chain investigation.
