I would like to convert the SkyConnect stick to Thread. Unfortunately the flasher (https://connectzbt1.home-assistant.io/firmware-update/) says "The firmware update is temporarily unavailable". Does anyone know whether "temporary" means a day or a month?

If you are using HAOS, you can install the OpenThread Border Router add-on, configure the add-on to use the ZBT-1 and activate the option "Automatically flash firmware". When the add-on starts, it will flash the Thread firmware. Just make sure ZHA is not using the ZBT-1.

Perfect, it worked (I'm using two different sticks, one for ZHA, the other one for Thread).

any way to do it without HAOS? I'm using HA on a synology in a docker system and cannot flash the firmware via HA for skyconnect 😦
