Not sure if i am in the right forum, But i have a ton of old alexa speakers i was about to sell. Could these come in handy say for sending notification sounds? or should i run speaker wire and speakers?

They can be used for TTS and such, but the Alexa Media Player integration is not really in a great state right now. So, YMMV. Plus, there’s the whole “Amazon/cloud” thing as well.

What is tts? also i agree with media for alexa, which is why i wanna sell them. Would you suggest runnning speaker wire and speaker instead? I am super new to all this

TTS is text to speech. Personally, I use Sonos speakers (and some of the IKEA Symphonisk speakers). I’m not a fan of wires. The Sonos/IKEA speakers are wireless (but can be wired to ethernet if you choose), sound pretty decent and aren’t too expensive. Plus, they do great with TTS and notifications.
