#How do I get my shelly to connect?

I've tried changing my 2.4 band to it's own SSID.
I've tried changing the security to mixed WPA/WP2.
I've tried starting the shelly, reconnecting the battery.
I've tried connecting my phone to that 2.4 band and confirming that the details are correct.

Every time I change the details, I tap the button in the shelly but it never, ever, ever shows up in the device list on my router. 😦 The phone does show up, though.

You need to connect to the Shelly for initial setup, as described by their setup guide

I had done that about 20 times, seems it's finally worked this time but I'm not sure why.

A guess is that maybe when I was pressing the button, I was holding it for a few seconds, and maybe that was factory resetting it?

It seems to have no data, though.

If you just reset it that sounds pretty normal

So I should wait a bit, then 🙂

Depends on which data you are looking at

#

The things you see on the web ui are generally also available in homeassistant once connected

This is what I see.

It's a Humidity and Temperature sensor.

Ah, there it is. I had to connect to it from a different page first to somehow trigger it.

That seems a bit odd, it should know about it's sensors

I notice it's coming up as gen1, so it's a fairly old design.
