I have a Kwikset Convert Smart Lock Conversion Kit Zigbee on ZHA and while diagnosing another issue I noticed that the overview dashboard show the lock icon as the opposite state of the actual physical lock. The words UNLOCK are the correct status. The entity is also the opposite.

Any ideas on how the fix this? It's my first automation and this is breaking it

The icon looks right to me, the door is locked so you need to unlock it

In that picture, the Icon is wrong and the text is correct.

#

also in the entity state it's the opposite

#

@mint flare I never noticed that they were switched until I started to work with automations

What happens when you reload the page showing the unlock button?

it's the same. I've been pressing the unlock / lock text all this time not realizing that the icon and the entity show the wrong status

I am still confused as to what issue you are having. For the moment let’s forget about the text shown on the frontend card. Let’s only focus on the icon on the frontend, and on the state shown in dev tools > states.

In the images you attached it shows an icon that is locked and a state in dev tools of “unlocked”. This is definitely a problem if this images were taken at the same time. Can you confirm they were? And if you physically change the lock to the opposite position, do you the see the icon become unlocked and dev tools show “locked”?

This is what a lock in the "locked" state should look like:

This is a long shot, but is there an Invert setting for this lock? None of my locks have it, but they are Z-Wave (and locks instead of switches), but some devices do:

Yes, so I strongly recommend ignoring the frontend card entirely. This should be your problem statement:

I have a Zigbee lock integrated into HA through ZHA and it is updating and able to be controlled, but its state in the physical world is opposite from what is reflected in HA. The lock is model# xxx from manufacturer xxx.

I FOUND IT!!!!
For future reference there is a hardware switch on the lock itself that will communicate the opposite door lock status.
