use kiosk mode from HACS and just load in the dashboard as default with Keep me signed in checked. Use FullPageOS to run the site

Your Rpi isn't powerful enough to decode the video streams. Using the companion app wont improve that.
The companion app decodes the video streams on the device themselves, so whatever you run to display the video streams in the dashboard will need to be powerful enough to decode multiple video streams at once. You can try and use the lower quality rt streams but it probably wont make a difference once you have more than a few camera streams running.
I have iPads as kiosks and they can't handle the streams either
If you run scrypted on another, more powerful device, you could load those in as streams and it might work better on the rpi but then your stressing a whole other machine
