#Slow Notifications through iOS companion app

I've been experiencing slower than usual notifications (used for camera alerts most crucially) Testing via triggering the action in my automation reveals about a 12-15 second delay in receiving the notification on my phone. I'd say this issue started about a week ago but its hard to say since I only truly confirmed the delay via testing today.

I've tried the following already:

  • Rebooting HA
  • Rebooting iPhone
  • Resetting the Push ID within the companion app
  • Reset frontend cache within the companion app

I am on the iOS 18.1 beta but the issue also happens on my wife's phone which is on the latest official iOS. I've seen the articles saying to use the 'critical' notification setting but I'd rather not have every notification come through as critical. Has anyone had these issues? Any ideas on what to try next?

So an update if anyone else runs into this issue- it appears as if you have apple intelligence on and you disable “summarize previews” for notifications all of your notifications will be delayed 10-15 seconds. I dont remember this being an issue in earlier betas so it may be a beta 4/5 issue.
