Hi everyone, I'm just looking for some way to tell HA if this door is locked or not. It only locks via the deadbolt, which is the knob that turns. I thought about getting a contact sensor but I'm not too sure if that will work.
I'm in an apartment for I can't make any changes to the lock.
Any ideas?

Initially I thought a contact sensor of sorts but if you don't think that would work you can try and gyroscopic sensor, though that might be a bit awkward to have on the lock.
