#IR Remote Portable AC Control through HA

I have a portable air conditioner (NETTA 103440-A019-08KR2 model) which I would like to be able to control with home assistant. It came with a battery powered remote with an IR blaster on the end like a tv remote.

What can I get to turn HA into this remote and be able to automate actions?

Is there a wifi or zigbee based IR blaster that works well with HA and can be placed near the AC?

Thanks

Broadlink RM4 Pro is what I would recommend.

Thanks. Can this run locally? I notice it has its own cloud app which I would like to avoid. If HA can pick it up locally and it stays on the local WiFi then that's fine.

It is quite expensive though for my use case. And I imagine I would need multiple of these if I had IR appliances in other rooms such as tvs I wanted to control with this. I also saw the mini which is IR only so could go with that if I can't find a use for the RF mode.

It’s a local integration into HA.

Yeah, the mini might be a better option. Also, yes, you’d need multiple ones in other rooms.

Brilliant thanks I'll look closer at that.

I did also see some much cheaper tuya zigbee ones but saw something mention it doesn't work with ZHA only Z2MQTT and I'm already using ZHA which would be a pain to change unless I set up a separate Zigbee coordinator
