Hi, I just got a Sonoff Zigbee USB Dongle Plus-E which i flashed with the multipath firmware 4.4.4 (https://github.com/darkxst/silabs-firmware-builder/raw/refs/heads/main/firmware_builds/zbdonglee/rcp-uart-802154-v4.4.4-zbdonglee-460800.gbl) but its refusing to connect with the Silicon Labs Multiprotocol add-on. I have two tty ports and tried both /dev/ttyAMA10 and /dev/serial/by-id/usb-Itead_Sonoff_Zigbee_3.0_USB_Dongle_Plus_V2_aa9902179512ef118afe75b8bf9df066-if00-port0. It just gets stuck on "Failed to connect, secondary seems unresponsive"
#Sonoff Zigbee USB Dongle Plus-E Not connecting to Silabs multiprotocol Add-On

Using the Multiprotocol add-on is not recommended. It is experimental and development has been frozen.
So there is no way to set up thread+zigbee on the same dongle? I have to switch to zigbee-only for now?
No recommended and stable way.
Thanks, i will switch back to ezsp then.
Plan a move to ember at some point
The replacement for ezsp in Z2M
But does that work with the Sonoff stick or do i need a new adapter?
Yes google just sent me there. So ember is just the part of Z2M that has changed, firmware is just standard ezsp 7.4.4.0?
ezsp was deprecated ages ago, replaced by ember
Ok the confusion comes from the flasher website calling it ezsp https://darkxst.github.io/silabs-firmware-builder/
Third party guides will be outdated
This is the correct firmware for Z2M right?
I have tried both
serial:
adapter: ember
rtscts: false
port: /dev/ttyUSB0
and
serial:
port: /dev/ttyUSB0
They both error out with
Error: spawn udevadm ENOENT
While HASS hardware page says /dev/ttyUSB0 is an Itead_Sonoff_Zigbee_3.0_USB_Dongle_Plus_V2_aa9902179512ef118afe75b8bf9df066
Is the stick in use by the ZHA integration?
I havent touched ZHA, unless its installed and enabled by default
It says discovered, is that a problem?
Ignored it, same ENOENT error
I uninstalled the silabs flasher and multipath addons and rebooted btw, shouldnt be anything using that port
The people in #1284966617670881350 (use the "Zigbee" tag) might be able to help you set up Z2M or to choose the right firmware.
