Hello!

I am looking for a battery powered video camera that can tell me if a parcel or guests have arrived.

For reference I have recently purchased an “Orion Grid Connect Smart Rechargeable 2K Smart Security Camera”. It suits my needs except an incredibly long delay before sending the notification that there has been motion 😦

I do not recommend this for Home Assistant, however i would like another similar product that is ideal for Home Assistant that also works without needing to use the cloud.

I like:

  • The price point (but can go higher if required)
  • the size and that it does not need wires (good for renters!)
  • the camera.

I am deaf and needing something to let me know who and when people are at the door of my rental property 🙂

Could i have some recommendations?

As an alternative, perhaps my best option is to keep the current camera as-is, and get a nice wireless door button, along with a motion detector, and connect those so that I get notifications on my phone.

What's some good recommendations for those?

However it depends on if i don’t have to verbally speak to it and can have automated responses instead.
