I'm a bit confused on how to add the Ikea Dirigera hub (via Matter) to Home Assistant. I already have started the Matter integration in the Ikea Home app and have added it to Apple Home. Everything works great. Now I'd like to add it to Home Assistant, but I am unsure how to proceed. In Home Assistant, do I need to just "add a matter device" and scan the code on the Dirigera hub? Or do I need to go into the Ikea Home app and generate some sort of code there? The documentation is a bit confusing on how to do this as the docs are geared towards adding a matter device, not a matter bridge.

Ok, I think i figured it out. Ikea Home Smart -> Integrations -> Matter Bridge -> Create Matter bridge (yes, even if you already have a matter bridge for Apple Home or etc), will give you a QR code + access code.

In Home Assistant, add as matter device, select "existing device" (ie: it's been added to some other bridge / hub before), select "other", use access code from Ikea Home Smart App (displayed with the QR code)

any chance you can share a screenshot of a device you added like this? Asking because I have all of my Ikea stuff on Dirigera integrated via the Homekit devices integration, and wonder if there would be a preference for either way.

here's a light that's been added. not exactly sure if this is what you want a screenshot of?

normally with matter devices after you connect them via matter to one controller, if you want to add a second controller you need to share from the first controller.

some vendors do support sharing directly to a second matter controller from the vendor app tho
