Hello, I come with suggestions and updates regarding the homeassistant application on the watch and on apple car play.
These proposals are very important to many people, I think that if you implemented them, everyone would be happy
Apple Watch Ultra 2:
-
Improving the application instead of adding only shortcuts in the application I suggest adding something like favorite entities in categories, HomeKIT has it done quite nicely, I'm more interested in adding on the main screen the possibility of adding sections, e.g. "Room" "Garage" "Monitoring" and to each category to be able to add entities, cameras, switches, buttons, etc.
HomeKit is stupid in that there has to be some device in the house for it to work outside the local network. And if HA introduced something like that it would be great.
Cameras would also be nice to have a preview on the watch in real time.
Or just like when we add a roller shutter or garage door, we can see its status -
Adding very urgent alerts. It would be nice to have alerts that appear on the entire screen, with a caption about what's happening, and an exclamation mark or something similar, so that you can, for example, notify the person wearing the watch about an intruder in the yard.
-
Adding more sensors, about sleep, heart rate, modes that are turned on, and of course the live location of the device updated from time to time
-
And in the watchos 11 update they introduced the API for double-touching with your fingers, you could introduce opening the garage door or some other device. When I enter the zone, a notification appears on the screen for a minute whether to open the gate and if I want to open it, just double-tap with your fingers.
Apple Car Play:
- You don't need much here, but it would be nice if Apple Car Play had a main screen that had added favorite entities with status, also presented in some nice way.
If you like the ideas I can help you design them more visually
