Pretty much as the title implies. I've been using fully kiosk but I think the HA app is more stable and less laggy for tablets. Unfortunately the app doesn't add the tablet as a media player as well. Anyone know if plans for this are on the horizon? Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do.

there is an existing feature request https://github.com/home-assistant/android/issues/2512 actually a bit more involved as it requires HA core changes to the mobile_app integration before the app can add support for it
