I have been using homekit bridge for ages to export just a handful of entities to apple home. It has been working fine. 2024.8 added support for event entities in homekit which allows doorbells to work, so i added my unifi protect doorbell to this and it also worked fine.
I recently read that cameras should be in their own homekit instance in accessory mode for performance reasons.
So i split my stuff up into two, one accessory mode instance for the doorbell and everything else on the bridge. I've given them both different ports in my yaml.
I am now finding that the doorbell works fine, but all of the entities in the bridge are "not responding". I've removed and readded them to homekit, and they appear for long enough to add them to their correct rooms in the home app etc, but still end up as not responding.
what have I done wrong?
