#WiZ GU10 RGB Matter wrong configuration
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
@shrewd bramble When going to "Matter" integration -> Devices -> Wiz GU10. Looking at the device Configuration section it has things like "Off transition", "On level", "On transition", "On/Off transition" and "Power-on behavior on Startup".
All these don't work, they don't do anything.
Also, when using the WiZ app, you can configure what they call "Fading", where they have "Fade in" and "Fade out".
We could assume these to be "Off transition" or "On transition", but still, they have 0 effect on the light bulb behavior.
Lastly, Home Assistant is being incredibly slow changing the intensity values or white temperature. Which I suspect is due to the default "Fade out" value of 4.5s set by Wiz, which is not configurable from within HA.
Hence, me wondering, how can this be corrected, if its some sort of generic bulb profile that HA or Matter-Server is using, or if it's something WiZ would need to fix and HA is only grabing what the bulb announces it can do.
These are all wiz bugs, you should nag them to fix
Just for reference of others that run into this thread.
I just reported the following to WiZ support regarding the issues these Bulbs are having when controlled via Matter:
- NONE of the bulbs exposed configurations work. This includes "Off transition", "On transition", "On/Off transition" and "Power-on behavior on Startup". Regardless of what value is set, the bulb ignores it.
- Firmware version not reported correctly. It's clearly hard-coded to "1.0.0", while in reality, the bulb is on firmware version "1.32.0".
- Changing the brightness (light level) of the bulb is incredibly slow, takes around 5s to transition.
- Removing the bulb from the WiZ app, causes it to also leave ALL matter fabrics, this should not happen, it should just leave WiZ.
- The bulbs seem to not have any Update entity exposed, preventing updates when only Matter controlled.
