Hey, I am completly New to Home Assistant.

Getting my shelly plus and Dimmer 2 shellys into HA was easy so I thought I might also add the motionblinds.

I just got seven MX-I from acomax installed.

I used the app to get the first one on my newly setup IoT Vlan, I could see the ip Adress on my network controller.

I added a new motionblind with add Integration and chose "acomax".
I also fetched the API from the app and entered it.

I can now see the motionblind in HA with "up, pause, down" buttons.

None of those buttons seems to work.
When looking into the logs i just see "rollerblind not available"

Any suggestions?

Is HA also on your IoT VLAN?

That says Local Push

I bet the device can't reach HA

#

Also, VLANs are just a source of pain with HA - do yourself a favour and either ditch them, or move HA to that VLAN

hmm if i move the NAS to the IoT VLAN that would break so many other things... maybe i will try to get the Acomax Units into the User Wifi.

Just don't bother with VLANs

#

They're not worth the pain and they don't bring half the "security" that those who shout about them think

thanks for the advice.

i will try to get around the VLAN Problem, though i probably will not completly ditch the VLANS as of right now. maybe in the future when i really only have problems with them 🙂
