playing TTS on media_player.*
hi guy, can someone please help me here ? I've re-flashed the ESP device, and it is now added to my HA ESPhome devices. In ESPhome itself (addon) I can see it was discovrred and it offers me to adopt it) if I do so, I'm lost. Should I adopt it ? Should I then skip the encryption key thing ?
I just read that some user followed junkie's tutorial to get it to work so i google a bit and here is his tutorial : https://www.smarthomejunkie.net/enhancing-voice-assistant-integrate-an-external-speaker-using-esphome/
i'll follow it
I've pasted the whole code, kept my wifi settings and api encryption key, added this :
on_tts_end:
- homeassistant.service:
service: media_player.play_media
data:
entity_id: media_player.airplay_cuisine_2
media_content_id: !lambda 'return x;'
media_content_type: music
announce: "true"
saved, clicked install again. and nope, no sound is playing out of my airplay speaker....DAMNIT
back to the 13$ url....re-flashing it....
seriously, this feature is something that should be included out of the box. That damn ATOM speaker ain't usable at all...
and now I'm erasing it, again and again, it gets detected by HA, and becomes unavailable instantly after that........
