You need an externally powered USB hub, connect the SSD to that, and any other USB devices

Is anything else frozen too? Does restarting HA work?

No I have 6 hue motion sensors connected via z2m. And always 1 of 3 (always the same 3 ) is suddenly getting stuck or not updating everything and keeps saying occupied

And other hue sensors still work

I'd expect either everything to freeze or all but stuff in RAM to still work. Restarting HA should not work if the disk is stuck but I might be wrong.
