read through that thread and the situation OP is facing is different, because they are opening / forwarding a port on their router for HA, rather than using a proxy such as cloudflare

Connecting to your Home Assistant via cloudflare tunnel should work from within your internal network regardless of whether or not NAT loopback is supported on your router.

like I mentioned earlier I too use a non nat loopback router with Xfinity and am able to connect to my cloudflare tunneled services from within my internal network without issues. Do you have any other tunneled services you could test on to rule out that this is a cloudflare configuration issue or an issue with HA configuration?
