Z-Wave is just as fast as anything else for normal human things. You're not going to notice any lag or anything. My bathroom fans in my new house start up just a quickly as our former rental house did with dumb timer switches.

Zigbee might be faster for data transfer and blah,blah,blah, on paper, but I've run it for 15+ years (?) and don't ever remember the comm network being an issue in daily operation.

If I had my choice, I'd have everything on Z-Wave with nothing Zigbee and completely avoid Wi-Fi band altogether, but that's not reality.

Oh perfect! Yea I was more concerned with the wifi switch as I hear kasa can be a few seconds of delay on occasion
