Have you waited for the db related fixes to take place?
they take time, longer for larger databases

I haven't noticed any database errors and statistics are fine if I click on 'Show more'

You need to look in your logs, not at the time when you click on the entity
clicking on the entity just shows what's currently in the db

How long are the ‘database related fixes’ supposed to take?

it depends on your database
outside that, if you ran with the issue for an extended period of time, that data during that time will be lost
if you didn't and you just updated from 2024.6, then wait a bit but you should see things in your logs saying it's fixing things

Well I typically update when I get the notification within about 24 hours. I was on .7.2 a few weeks ago and subsequently .3 shortly after and now .4 as of last night

Seems to affect only the new template helper entities. Those same entities can't be used for energy statistics even when properly configured. Perhaps this isn't how they're intended to be used?
