The Aqara pet feeder is what I use and it's been rock solid. It's Zigbee, and the only Aqara device I've had success with in HA

Does it have a water fountain that knows when it is out of water or better even know the water level ?

It's a food dispenser only, but I've seen a handful of water devices out there - but I don't use them
You can automate a lot of that with an ESP and a "dumb" device too

I'm mainly looking for a water device that knows when it is out, I have a PetKit, but it only works via cloud and doesn't notify when it is out, and to get home assistant integration working you need their feeder, so I was looking around for HA friendly feeder and water devices I can just replace them with.
I have a dumb feeder that works fantastic.
water fountain works great, but never tells me when it is out unless I check the app and I can only integrate it with HA if I use their feeder (so it can BT proxy) as it only updates the water data when you open the app, but the feeder always does
