Do you actually mean HACS? Because you have to install custom integrations like that
it is not a custom installation. I have HACS but this integration is not there. It is a default integration. You can find it just typing "Solax"
Settings > Devices and services > + Add integration button > search for "Solax"
Then you can't revert that

could I install the repository like a custom installation and pull the project in a point in the past pulling and old commit?
You report it, both in the library and against the HA integration
Then you could install a custom integration version of the integration, that uses the older library version, but that's not a trivial task
