so what addons and integrations do you have installed?
maybe something is causing a memory fault

I'll certainly be checking my power supply as you reccommended
that's a lot of stuff
Yes, hence the overkill system
a quick search for your motherboard and "coral tpu" comes up with some old complaints about them together
so I guess I should ask if your firmware is up to date
I'm using a normal PCIe slot to m.2 adapter for that
so that's another point of failure to investigate too
Hmm
Maybe, ill check/swap that as well.
When i was having issues with the coral, it was just throwing errors within Frigate, which would fail to start
ok, so maybe not that
Well, if the device is disconnecting while in use it could cause the whole system to reboot
I'd expect that to be reflected in the host logs as well
things that cause a reset rarely pause long enough to write to the log
which is why I'm leaning towards hardware issues
that seems kind of extreme
I've got a spare just sitting
booting up to do a memtest might not hurt though
I dont want to sit in the dark for hours while it runs though
turn the lights on first?
That'd be too easy
anyway, something causing constant reboots would probably trip in the first pass
True
I've never seen more than 12% memory usage (~4GB) though, so i kind of do want to put less in
that much hardware makes it a good candidate for installing proxmox on the bare metal
then haos in a VM
Not for me
I have a PowerEdge T630 for VM's
the Z390 platform is awful for my virtualization needs
I do also have a number of devices on a non-internet vlan that are reporting incorrect timestamps
That couldn't be causing this, right?
I can't think of how
Yeah same here
Swapped the RAM and PSU to tested good parts, no dice
I also did previously have homebridge and scryptedas add ons. They have since been disabled and removed
@olive umbra don’t laugh at me but I think I found the problem. Both are the positive side of the CPU 12v connector. https://imgur.com/a/7MM6c0g
Wow
Still having issues with a new motherboard, new RAM, and new power supply/cable so trying a new boot drive now
Nope, it was the SSD
well, that's good news compared to technology hating you 🙂
lol
Okay I spoke too soon. Appears to be crashing every ~5-6 hours now. Getting an out of memory error though
The logs don’t show more than 17ish% memory usage at any time though. Swapped in a third set of ram now
@olive umbra Appears to be a bug with the intel GPU drivers causing this
I swapped the CPU and cpu cooler with no change. Installed ubuntu with docker and setup frigate and it crashed in the same exact way, referencing i915
the specific error is
ERROR render: timed out waiting for forcewake ack request.
