Third Reality plugs are REALLY good routing devices and cheap as well. I have 10 of them scattered around the house. Plus they do energy monitoring as well.

Got the plug pair. Still can't get the sonoff to connect to the plug

Hmmmm... did you update the firmware on the plug?
If you didn't, update the firmware. Also, are you pairing directly to the plug?

Ok. Do you have a link to the sonoff sensor you are trying to pair?
And remind me... this is through ZHA, right?

Alright, try this. Put ZHA into pairing mode to the plug, then reset the sensor and push the button on it like every second or so to keep it awake.
That should do it.

Ahhhhh ok, so the sensor wasn't in pairing mode. Gotcha.

yeah, i guess it need to be from the first start. pushing the pairing button doesn't do it
