However, unlike the OP above, I don't have the accompanying usb stick. Is it possible to somehow replicate the plugwise stick (proprietary ZigBee thing) with an off-the-shelf ZigBee stick, or are these dead in the water?

They still work at passing through electricity, but otherwise no control or energy monitoring, which sucks to be a waste. 🙃🥴 Happy to tear one open and try to debug if needed, is there some part of the ZigBee protocol I need to hack together?
