So you're okay with the VM rebooting/freezing, but you just don't want switches de/activating?
It's quite rare, but when it does that's what usually happens, but yes I would like the state of zigbee devices to remain as is instead of my lights being turned on at 3am and fan turned off
What are you using for Zigbee?
I'm using Z2M
In Z2M, find the device, click the Exposes tab.
Check the Power-on behavior and try setting to previous if it isn't already.
ah that makes sense, let me try and test it out again
This is only a guess btw, but I'm guessing it "looks" like a power blip to Z2M.
If however you're also using NR for automations, there could be something in there causing it during a freeze/reboot.
any idea how I could check if it's a power blip?
NR?
No, I don't think it is a power blip, I'm thinking that's how it looks to Z2M.
NodeRed
Basically there's an interruption in service, which a power blip would also be.
ah right, unfortunately am only using the simpler Automations from HA and not NR (been wanting to get started, but haven't had the time)
Be careful, it's addictive.
But since I switched there's been a lot of improvements in the native automations as well.
Yes I've heard haha, maybe it's time to check out NR as well once I get this solved
What does the logbook entry say for one of those entities when this happens?
Hmm still seems to turn on itself, let me check the logs
