#Hybrid mode Zigbee possible??

Looking at adding ZB to my rapidly growing HA setup. So far my devices are either Sonoff or Hue - with some BLE based devices and of course a couple of ESP32's.

What I want to achieve is having a hybrid setup in which I have devices that I can control directly on my LAN but also via Google home/assistant. The HUE model works great that way - I can voice control them via Google which connects to the HUE bridge but also locally directly from HA.

Now wondering if I can create a second Zigbee mesh next to what HUE already does - which would be needed if I want to use SB devices that Hue doesn't allow to be paired to the HUE bridge.

What I'm thinking is maybe a Zigbee gateway - I believe Sonoff makes one - but I'm not sure if I could expose that gateway to Google so I can control devices like switches and lights via Google as well al local??

Anyone got experience in doing something like that??

That’s totally doable. But, you would need to expose HA externally through either Nabu Casa (easiest) or through your own external provider (DuckDNS, Cloudflare, etc)(more difficult).
