#The guide is for a ubiquity system, I

Dude
That guide is for adding a hostname to AdGuardHome so that it resolves to your LAN IP
Adding Local DNS entries into AdGuard
The UDM part is totally irrelevant
I added home, arpa to the custom filters. but when I try to visit it I get a "ERR_empty response"
Trying to rename it to Name, dev does not help either
You have to enter your hostname
You mean the duckdns one?
Yes
Will try.
was also setting up DNSMASK.
but all of sudden the page flickered and I can't login anymore [HA is still online, since automations work]
Local I get {err connection refused}
duckdns link:
Unable to fetch auth providers. {Link}
?auth_callback=1
Sounds like you changed settings in HA
How do I regain access again?
Did you set up Samba or SSH access?
how do I force restart {have a X86 install ona Minisforum UN100C}
Found the port
internal port changed to 4443
No idea why it changed.
tried working more with DNSMASQ. but the connection got lost again.
Samba is still working
now neither of the 2 ports work
homeassistant.local still works though?
with the default port
I have no idea what you're doing
Take a step back
What does neither of the 2 ports mean?
What URLs?
What URL does work?
The local IP. and HA.local now work
I have no idea what caused it, I think it has something to do with DNSmasq.
since that is the addon that caused some issues when I was setting it up.
After removing and reconfigurating it I now get a error that something is already using port 53
AAH. so I have to either use adguard or dnsmasq
What about lets-encrypt? would that work to get a valid certificate?
Just like DuckDNS add-on does, yes
However, you're over-complicating things
Your problem is simple - you can't connect to the local IP using https: without security errors
Your fixes are also simple, and have been listed above
Exactly
All you've done is complicate things by doing stuff that's irrelevant
The only solutions are:
- Only ever use the remote URL (local access will go via your router, not the Internet)
- Use a reverse proxy for SSL
Or... 3. feck about with AdGuard Home
Then do you have a simple to understand copy-paste ready solution for me?
Router: fritzbox 7590
No
Because all of this requires you to think and adapt instructions
Also, your Fritz is irrelevant
Personally I'd use option #1 above
That'll just work, because the Fritz has support for NAT reflection
(I have one myself)
If you really want another solution then #2 is the best way of doing this, so that you can connect with http:// locally
#3 requires the most learning and thinking for you
where do I find the NAT loopback settings?
I only have 1 issue and that is that I want to use a specific dashboard. when I add the URL in the prompt it logs in, but when I close the app it logs out of the page. even though "remember me" is checked
Ok, that's a whole new problem
I can always use Fully Kiosk browser. though it does not remember the zoom settings [I set trough the browser control extension]
