I was 100% sure this was an indication that the statistic is a total*, and not a measurement.

it is effectively that since measurements don't get that button, but yeah it's clickable

I'm pretty sure it's effectively a rule that all WS API are used in the frontend somewhere.
So if you find an API, there's probably a UI for it.
