if you want to help, here's the PR https://github.com/tetele/onju-voice-satellite/pull/39 and the config https://github.com/tetele/onju-voice-satellite/blob/b4367f4aa7a94b62c4a1cb07c72ddd0adef104fa/esphome/onju-voice-microwakeword.yaml
Hey. I'm currently working on a replacement PCB for the Amazon Echo Dot v5. I found this thread, so I might try to make the design compatible with your esphome config if possible.
Thanks, but that's not really necessary. If you want to do this, just use an ESP32 with some PSRAM (any variant of the S3) and try to hold on to all the original features of the Echo. Also pay attention to special GPIO pins on the ESP32-S3, so that you can still use them internally (e.g. for PSRAM). The config is easy to get right after that
Yeah I'm eyeing a variant with 8MB of PSRAM. I'll add on some flash as well for good measure. The first PCB comes in next week which is just for reverse engineering the top buttons/LED's of the Echo Dot, and also for sizing.
