Oh, okay.
huh, i learn something new every day ๐Ÿ™‚
and i have ssh and file editor and zwave js installed as addons.

#

Can't start hassio_observer: server error for http+docker, internal server error.
looks like it cannot bind to port 4357.
And it can't start the observer plugin

#

Watchdog/application found a problem with observer plugin. Is there an easy way to reinstall/validate the observer plugin?

#

sorry, @finite zenith ๐Ÿ™‚

im lazy at this point

#

I have HA os in a vm on my ostree based os. if anything goes wrong, its a 5 min fix.

#

i don't blame you.

#

i just like understanding how things work.

thats when I used to deploy a podman / ha install

kind path
#

Ah, it was easy enough -- i rebuilt the core, and my supervisor logs are clean of errors

#

now it's time to try the upgrade again -- it didn't take from the command line

#

nope, no joy. continuing the troubleshoot.

#

hrm. okay, it issued the pull to get that 2024.4.3 tagged version of raspberrypi4-64-homeassistant, and then powercycled the box w/o further log messages (i was checking with journalctl -u docker -f, i guess i'll have to expand my trolling thru journalctl's logging).

okay, prolly the sdcard -- this time a manual docker pull triggered a hard hang -- rpi dropped off the network. I'll check for fs corruption, and see if replacing the sdcard is the answer here.

yah.. those things fail a lot unless you get the ones designed for high endurance

yep, after reading around, i'm going to get an external usb ssd.
