#Who are our users?

Good questions! For Project Grace, we interviewed our smart home creators, what we call admins, and people who live in that home, what we call users. Based on this we've created these personas.
I would love to gather more insights to iterate on our personas.
Given that many participants on Discord, forums, and GitHub are developers, how do you perceive the typical user or participant of Home Assistant? Are they primarily developers, or is there a broader audience we should consider?
In the early days of Home Assistant, you had to be a developer to understand how to work with it. That's why a large portion of our experienced users are developers.
In recent years, Home Assistant's user base has grown with people who have an affinity with technology, but do not need to be developers. We spoke to a number of them in our interviews.
We don't have the numbers because we are privacy by design, so I can't say how big developer vs. non-developer is.
