#There might be an attribute on the Aqara

i think it's better to make a thread so as not to fill up an othwerise useful channel
What’s the image id / file you installed?
Yeah, well. Looks like those are one of the few Aqara devices that do not work, as they have a "modelId" defined in the repo.
I’ll check if we can flash the other firmware again in a minute
thank you!
That’s why Aqara doesn’t have an OTA provider by default 😄
yeah, but apparently now it does if you just leave OTA files in there for years 😛
But you clicked "install" though, right? Like, the firmware files would already install before. Just only when a device requests the image (can be triggered by image notify)
Current file version is 0x42 in HA?
hm, can you read the current_file_version on the OTA cluster through the clusters UI?
But the update succeeded (on the second attempt) with version 0x42
also, what does the firmware entity show as a version now (when you click on it)?
Cluster attribute says 66 (=0x42)
Update entity says 0x3e
I just restarted HA before you asked (for different reasons) if that makes any difference
hm, I think the HA registry is just outdated then
okay, so we can try flashing back the correct firmware, but we need to "circumvent" the "downgrade protection" of ZHA and of the device. This trick might not work for your device (but has worked for EU Xiaomi plugs for example).
So, before I send you the modified file, to make you aware: this could permanently brick your device. You understand?
