Thanks for replying.

Since that post I watched this (https://youtu.be/39hZAIpfAPI?si=p-ZBYt97_us8fy3-) and he states that the ZHA updates don't work with IKEA devices. Is this true? My device is an IKEA device.

I also removed the updates section in my config yaml and the update form that device has disappeared.

It'll only appear if you have it enabled in your config. IKEA updates are "optional" for now

The IKEA OTA provider is disabled by default, as they've sometimes pushed broken firmware (breaking group binding on remotes and other stuff). It should mostly be fine though.

The dimmer switch you wanted to update is the (old) square two button dimmer?
