Both OTBRs use the pure/dedicated Thread firmware? How long did they stay unavailable. Did that happen without unplugging/rebooting/updating any of the BRs?

yes only running thread - so i think that’s how they would be configured

i didn’t unplug or reboot anything

since then i turned off the otbrs and the devices haven’t recovered yet. but i also haven’t tried to restart them yet

So when devices don't recover despite the OTBRs being out of the picture, that is a device issue. They should reconnect on another BR, and the Matter add-on should reestablish connection with them.

Any pattern on which devices were affected?

wemo thread dimmer is the one i think is bad. and then some eve motions go offline, but they may route via that switch normally

so it’s not matter related - the switch is homekit only

i restarted the switch and now it’s back
