I think it would be a good option to be able to put i2s microphones like inmp441 and Max98357 amplifier together with a speaker directly on the raspberry pi like we can do on the esp32. Or to be able to listen responses on google home speakers if we still use them.

I also think it would be a good option if we have the Home Assistant operating system on a raspberry pi to be able to put an i2s microphone and a speaker in a single case.

It is interesting. I think this would work for wyoming-satellite on raspberry pi. I think that for such a project it would be useful for us to be able to do a configuration in Home Assistant of the Raspberry pi gpio pins for the i2s microphone and amplifier to be recognized by the Assist Microphone addon.

you mean to have an I2S mic/DAC on the Pi running HA? you'd need I2S drivers in HAOS for that, and i'm not sure anyone's interested in providing them, as the userbase would probably be very small
